Founded by ex-Proofpoint, FireEye and Google senior leaders, StrongestLayer aims to be the 3rd generation of email defense with an architecture designed around intent to ensure that organizations are prepared for sophisticated AI-assisted, personalized attacks.

The Role

We're growing rapidly and expanding our sales organization, requiring a high-energy hunter who thrives on breaking into new accounts and can stay engaged through the proof-of-concept process. This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing cybersecurity startup at the perfect inflection point, combining sales drive with enough technical capability to guide customers through simple integrations and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.

What You’ll Do

  • StrongestLayer’s detection is next-gen and best-in-class. You will hunt and close new business, initially across mid-enterprise segments (1,000-15,000 seats)
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, including light technical engagement during POCs
  • Maintain technical touchpoints with customers during trials (e.g., guiding them through a simple deployment)
  • Build relationships with CISOs, IT Directors, and security teams
  • Evangelize our AI-powered detection technology and thought leadership
  • Collaborate closely with our technical team to deliver demos, POCs, and solution overviews
  • Drive revenue growth in a performance-driven environment with strong earning potential

What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves:

  • High energy and competitive drive – you thrive on competition and outperform your targets
  • Outcome-driven – your earnings reflect your impact, and you’re motivated to exceed goals
  • 3+ years experience selling email security (e.g., Proofpoint, Mimecast, Abnormal) or broader cybersecurity solutions
  • Hunter mentality – you love prospecting, cold outreach, and cracking into new accounts
  • Light technical aptitude – comfortable walking customers through basic integration steps and working with IT teams during POCs (our setup can be done remotely in 15 minutes or less)
  • Based in the USA with ability to travel as needed
  • Self-starter who can build and execute processes independently
  • Quick learner who can rapidly understand technical concepts and competitive dynamics

Compensation

  • OTE: $220-250K (50/50 split)
